Holiday giving campaign to benefit six local community organizations.

A way to help six local, essential service organizations at once this holiday season is by participating in the Third Annual 12 Days of Giving Holiday Giving Campaign.

This event provides donors with an opportunity to maximize the impact of their donation by getting them matched dollar for dollar. The organizations participating are Chamberlain’s Children Center, CASA of San Benito County, Community Food Bank, Emmaus House, the Homeless Coalition, and Salvation Army. These nonprofits and the campaign are supported and sponsored by the Community Foundation for San Benito County, The United Way of San Benito County, Earthbound Farms, Rotary Club of Hollister, Teknova, and True Leaf Farms.

This year, the 12 Days of Giving will be kicking off at the United Way's Christmas Extravaganza on Nov. 15, and continue through Nov. 29 at the Hollister Downtown Association's Lights On Parade. All nonprofits will be represented at the Salvation Army Cantina Truck where people can enjoy free hot chocolate and learn more about the work these organizations do in our community.

For those interested in making a contribution to a specific organization, their information can be found at the event’s Facebook page. Be sure to include "12 Days of Giving" in your memo and get your contributions in between Nov. 15 and 29 to qualify for the matching funds.
