San Benito County's first Guitars Not Guns class graduates Saturday, Sept. 9

Guitars Not Guns, a free, eight week-long guitar class for foster kids, at-risk youth and other deserving children 8 to 18 years old, comes to a close. 20 students will graduate Sept. 9 at Veterans Memorial Building in Hollister.

Hollister council increases percentage of TOT reimbursement

Hollister city council raises the reimbursement rate of transit occupancy taxes (TOT) from 50 to 70 percent. Councilman Karson Klauer said hotels should not get more of the TOT than city.
