-The San Benito County Office of Education will hold its annual Foster & Homeless Youth Back to School Resource Fair on Aug. 7 at San Andreas High School from 3:30-5:30 p.m. This will be a drive-through event where foster and homeless youth in San Benito County can receive school supplies, information about resources in our community and dinner.

-Hollister School District Meal Day Schedule:

All schools except Gabilan Hills—Mondays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Sunnyslope and R.O. Hardin—Mondays 3 -7 p.m.

Enough food for five days is distributed and students do not need to be present at pickup.

-On Aug. 7, San Benito High School is expected to release a remote instruction FAQ document answering key questions students and parents may have about the continuation of distance learning.

Tips for avoiding COVID-19                      

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.
  • Keep a minimum of a six feet physical distance from others.
  • Avoid people who are sick.
  • Stay at home. Only leave to take care of essential errands.
  • Cover your cough and sneeze.
  • Cover your face (mouth and nose) with protective covering when in public
  • Disinfect frequently touched objects.
  • If you think you might be infected call your health care professional and follow their directions.
