PG&E is expected to conduct a pole replacement operation Sunday, Sept. 30 through Caltrans permit in order to replace an electric pole on northbound Highway 25. The location is nearly two miles south of Bloomfield Avenue, north of Hollister and south of US Highway 101 by the Santa Clara County line.

A northbound lane of Highway 25 is expected to be closed for 200 yards for the pole replacement, according to a recent press release. Motorists should expect to encounter one-way reversing traffic control with flagging from 5 a.m. until 10 a.m. Traffic delays should not exceed 30 minutes.

Motorists may detour the roadwork by turning right on Shore Road, left on Frazier Lake, left on Bloomfield Avenue and then right on Highway 25 to bypass the work zone.

Electronic message signs will be posted to alert motorists of the roadwork, scheduled to be complete by 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30.

In the press release, Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
