Entertainment, concessions, camping at Bolado Park complement Independence Rally activities

Venue south of Tres Pinos to be open during the Fourth of July weekend for camping, entertainment

Bolado Park Event Center is again the official campground of the 2016 Hollister Independence Rally. The venue will feature musical performances for members of the general public and campers on the outdoor stage at the park.

Campers and guests at Bolado Park will be able to access food and beverage concessions, as well as some vendors providing merchandise.

"The relaxing and fun evenings end with the complimentary showing of popular ‘biker’ movies," according to a press release.

Musical entertainment will be provided from 6:30-9 p.m. with the following bands showcased in multiple sets.

Friday, July 1: Sugar Jane

Sugar Jane is a female vocal trio, performing contemporary music with an Americana/Roots flair. Their sound can best be described as a convergence of soul, roots, and country-pop, influenced by traditional genres, such as jazz, blues, and bluegrass.

Saturday, July 2:  Emergency Third Rail Power Trip

Emergency Third Rail Power Trip is a high-energy rock ’n’ roll band that pounds out a mix of original songs and covers that span the rock era all the way back to its dawn.

If you’re camping, call the reservation hotline at 831-628-3421 or register on-site. No admission fee for the musical entertainment.

Surrounded by rolling hills and featuring beautiful oak trees throughout the grounds, the Event Center is a casual environment for tent and RV camping.  Full and partial hook-ups are available and the facility has showers, restrooms, and picnic areas with tables and barbecues. The event center is located on Airline Highway, a gateway to Pinnacles National Park. The scenic drive to the park is a favorite for motorcycle enthusiasts.  Bolado Park Event Center is also the home to the San Benito County Fair.
