SJB Heritage Rose Tour & Propagation Workshop

Join us for an informative walking tour of the heritage roses (some of which date back to Civil War days) at the San Juan Bautista District Cemetery (70 Monterey Street).  The tour will be led by Jill Perry, Curator of the Collection at the Heritage Rose Garden in San Jose; joining her will be Jeri Jennings, National Convener for the Heritage Roses Group.   After touring the roses and collecting some cuttings, we will then proceed to the lovely garden of the historic Marentis House (45 Monterey Street)  for a propagation workshop.  Bring a hat, water, pencil and paper and maybe clippers and gloves and get ready for a "scent"sational day!  We will meet at the bottom of the Cemetery to start the tour.  Contact Wanda to sign up for the tour (helpful but not required) or with questions: wguibert@gmail.com or (831) 623-1672.  Please consider joining the newly formed San Juan Bautista Heritage Rose Group.
