DESCRIPTION:Date: October 26th \nTime: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. \nLocation:  Greenwood Ford in Hollister \nWhat is the Pinewood Derby?\nFor those unfamiliar\, the Pinewood Derby is a time-honored tradition in scouting where participants design and build their own miniature wooden race cars. Each car is crafted from a block of wood\, wheels\, and axles provided by the organizers\, allowing for boundless creativity and innovation. \nOnce completed\, the cars race down a specially designed track\, and the excitement is palpable as they zoom toward the finish line. \nWhy Participate?\n1. Support Local Scouting: Proceeds from the event will directly benefit San Benito County Scouts\,\nfunding programs\, camps\, and educational opportunities that foster leadership and teamwork in our youth.\n2. Team Building: This event is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to foster camaraderie among employees. Collaborating on a Pinewood Derby car encourages creativity and teamwork in a\nrelaxed setting.\n3. Community Engagement: Join fellow community members in a celebration of creativity and fun. The event will include food\, music\, and activities for families\, making it a great outing for everyone.\nHow to Get Involved\n● Register Your Team: Businesses are invited to form teams of up to five members. Each team will receive a Pinewood Derby kit and a set of guidelines to help you get started. You also have the opportunity to have a local scout build your car. We have scouts that are willing to build your car and race it on your behalf.\n● Car Design and Build: Teams will have the chance to showcase their ingenuity! We encourage all participants to think outside the box. Prizes will be awarded for speed\, design\, and creativity.\n● Attend Race Day: Mark your calendars for October 26th!
