MBCP is a Community Choice Energy agency\, a local energy model succeeding elsewhere in California and the U.S. PG&E will continue to deliver electricity\, maintain infrastructure\, send bills and provide customer service. Customers will be automatically enrolled with MBCP unless they choose to opt-out and return to PG&E. MBCP customers will receive a 3% rebate on their total electric generation costs. \nThe event will be held at the Veterans Memorial Building in Hollister this Wednesday from 7:00 PM-8:30 PM.

DESCRIPTION:SAN JUAN BAUTISTA\, Calif. – Uniformed personnel from the California Highway Patrol’s Hollister-Gilroy Area office and community members will come together in an informal\, neutral space to discuss community issues\, have coffee\, and build relationships. \nAll community members are invited to attend. The event begins at 9:30 am on Thursday\, February 15th at Vertigo Coffee Roasters in San Juan Bautista located at 81 4th Street. \nCoffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the Department’s work in Santa Clara County neighborhoods. \nThe majority of contacts law enforcement has with the public happen during emergencies or emotional situations. Those situations are not always the most effective times for relationship building with the community\, and some community members may feel officers are unapproachable on the street. Coffee with a Cop breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed\, one-on-one interaction. \nCoffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice\, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services.
