MBCP is a Community Choice Energy agency\, a local energy model succeeding elsewhere in California and the U.S. PG&E will continue to deliver electricity\, maintain infrastructure\, send bills and provide customer service. Customers will be automatically enrolled with MBCP unless they choose to opt-out and return to PG&E. MBCP customers will receive a 3% rebate on their total electric generation costs. \nThe event will be held at the Veterans Memorial Building in Hollister this Wednesday from 7:00 PM-8:30 PM.

DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, May 29\, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the San Benito County Historical Society Museum\, there will be a community-wide event to unveil and celebrate a book produced by students enrolled in San Benito High School’s Mexican-American History class. \nListen to student authors read from their newly published\, Veteran Voices Project: Honoring the Experiences and Perspectives of Local Latino Veterans\, and learn about the lives and sacrifices of local Latino veterans. DESCRIPTION:The San Benito County Office of Education will be hosting its 20th annual Spelling Bee on Feb 6 and 7. Grades 4 -6 will be on Feb 6 and Grades 7-8 on Feb\n7. All events will take place starting at 6:30 PM in the Ladd Lane School multi-purpose room.  This will be the first round of competition. \nThe top 25 finalists from each division will compete at the San Benito County Spelling Bee Championship which will be held on Feb 27 for Grades 4-6 and Feb 28 for grades 7-8.  First and second place winners from each division will go on to represent San Benito County at the California State Spelling Bee Championships. \nFor more information\, please contact Kim O'Connor\, Spelling Bee Coordinator\, 831-207-9050.  The Rotary Club of Hollister will be awarding I Pads to first and second place from each division.

SUMMARY:Circuit Training
DESCRIPTION:Gavilan College is offering Circuit Training at Hollister's Portuguese Hall (695 7th Street) this summer. Taught by Ricardo Espinosa\, the class will combine aerobic exercise with resistance training to build fitness. Three levels of the class are offered\, which should be taken sequentially. This is a half-unit credit class\, applicable to a Gavilan College Associate degree. The course may be taken for a letter grade\, or for the pass/no-pass option. \nLevel 1 – This course is a combination of aerobic exercise and resistance training designed to simultaneously improve mobility \, strength and stamina. Students will rotate from station to station\, alternating between cardio and muscle toning exercise. Emphasis will be on students exercising at a moderate (40% – 50% THR) exertion level.  \nLevel 2 – This course continues from Level 1. Emphasis will be on student's exercising at an intermediate (50% – 60% THR) exertion level.  \nLevel 3 – This course continues from Level 2.. Emphasis will be on student's exercising at a high (60% – 80% THR) intensity level.  \nTo enroll\, go to www.gavilan.edu\, and click on the "Apply and Enroll" button.
