Dateline: Hollister, California, September 12, 2019 — The San Benito County Community Action Board will be celebrating "Community Matters" from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 1670 Cienega Rd; Hollister, CA 95023.

A panel of local community leaders will field questions and provide valuable insight into the subjects of education, employment, homelessness, housing, job training, poverty, seniors, youth and more.

The panel consists of Anthony Botelho of SBC Board of Supervisors, District 2, Adrian Ramirez, Principal of San Benito High School, Darren Thompson SBC Sheriff-Coroner, Ignacio Velazquez, Mayor of Hollister, Ray Espinosa, SBC Administrative Officer. Moderated by Hal Hendrickson.

The San Benito County Community Action Board's mission is to assist our vulnerable populations with resources to obtain skills knowledge and opportunities toward self-sufficiency.  The goal of the community action agency is to make the entire community more responsive to the needs and interests of the poor and low income populations by mobilizing resources and facilitating in providing effective services and community action plans.
