Hollister Hills State Vehicle Recreation Area invites you to start the New Year outside as part of the annual First Day Hikes initiative across America. First Day Hikes is a nation-wide promotion of healthy lifestyles and year round outdoor recreation through free guided hikes.
Meet at Mudstone Ranch, located 3 miles south of Hollister on Cienega Road. This is a strenuous 3 mile loop. Dogs on leash are welcome. Please bring water, layered clothing, and hiking shoes.
Event is free. Park entrance fee is $5.
Due to the adobe clay mud that makes up Mudstone Ranch, rain will cancel the event as trails are closed during wet weather for public safety and natural resource protection.
