These workshops will provide concepts\, tools\, and examples for optimizing irrigation and nitrogen management efficiency in row\, tree\, and greenhouse crop production. \nThe workshops will also focus on records and acquiring data needed for water quality regulation and reporting. \nIrrigation Management: Efficient Systems\, Plans and Scheduling \nThursday\, Jan. 29\, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. \nAND \n Nitrogen Management: Fertilizer\, Soil\, Crop and Irrigation Water Quality \nThursday\, Feb. 12\, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. \nInstructors: Dr. Marcus Buchanan and Michael Johnson \nDr. Buchanan has experience in soil fertility\, plant physiology and nutrition in many irrigated annual and perennial\, warm and cool season crops in the Central Coast. During the past 20 years\, he has worked as a University of California and Oregon State University faculty member and as a independent agronomy consultant. He has worked privately for growers\, food processors\, wineries\, and for public water and irrigation districts. DESCRIPTION:San Benito Stage Company presents Don't Dress for Dinner. Bernard's plans for a romantic rendezvous with his mistress are complete with a gourmet caterer and an alibi courtesy of his friend\, Robert. When Bernard's wife learns that Robert will be visiting for the weekend\, she decides to stay in town for a surprise tryst of her own\, setting the stage for a collision course of assumed identities and outrageous infidelities. The cook is Suzette\, the lover is Suzanne\, the friend is bewildered\, the wife is suspicious\, the husband is losing his mind and everyone is guaranteed a good time at this hilarious romp through the French countryside. \nTruly community theater\, our show features local actors Taunya Barrera\, Sylvia Combie\, Charley Gilmore\, Steve Hodgkinson\, Matt Morrison and Sarah Smith. Directed by James Swan\, Production by Anne Hall.  \nThe play will take place at Paine's Restaurant & Bar in Hollister\, with dinner served before the show\, and dessert at intermission. Dinner will be a set menu\, with a vegetarian option available upon request. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. (1:30 for matinees)\, dinner served 7 p.m. (2 p.m.) and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. (2:30\).
