Then don’t miss the San Benito County “Building Business” Community Job Fair on Thursday\, October 20th from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the Veterans Memorial Building 649 San Benito Street in downtown Hollister. \n“America’s Job Center of California is your one-stop shop for workforce services\, like this Job Fair\, for employers and job seekers alike\,” said San Benito County Employment & Training Services Counselor\, Megan Crable. “If you have job openings\, our staff can assist you at this event by receiving applications so that you can focus on promoting your company and talking to potential employees at your booth during the event.” \nThis event will host more than 23 employers and agencies promoting their job openings and career opportunities in a variety of fields. Local employers are scheduled to attend and job seekers will have the opportunity to meet employers from all industries. Veterans and military spouses are also encouraged to attend. Veterans with Military ID have the option to participate in the job fair in a special\, Veterans only session from 3pm-4pm.  \nThe San Benito County America’s Job Center will have staff members on hand at the event to provide resume\, application and on-site interview assistance. Applicants are asked to come prepared\, professionally “dressed for success” and to bring copies of their resume complete with their latest contact information. \nAssistance for job seekers is also being provided in advance of the event 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday at the Job Center located at 1111 San Felipe Road\, Suite 107 in Hollister. SUMMARY:Small Steps Holiday Shopping Event
DESCRIPTION:SMALL STEPS is a local\, non-profit organization which\, for nineteen years\, has put on an event benefitting local children on a Saturday in November. Our mission is to provide warm winter jackets and shoes for up to 375 deserving children in San Benito County who have been identified by their teachers. \nThis year our shopping trip is on November 5\, 2016. Target and Payless Shoe Source open their doors to the children\, escorted by volunteers\, at 7:00 a.m. These stores generously give a discount for all Small Steps purchases. Each child is accompanied by a volunteer who is 18 years or older. Each volunteer is provided an envelope with up to $100.00 to spend\, primarily on shoes and a warm jacket. With our goal of up to 375 children\, a minimum of 400 volunteers are needed on the day of the event. The volunteers must sign up in advance and their names\, addresses\, and driver’s license numbers are compared to the Megan’s Law list. Thumbprints and photos of all volunteers are taken on the day of the event. We are asking the people of our community\, businesses\, churches and organizations for help. DESCRIPTION:Come join us at Live to Cycle Fitness as we Celebrate 5 Years of helping hundreds of people of all ages get fit and lead a healthy lifestyle! (We are located at 193 McCray Street\, #303-304 in the Lucky Shopping Center.) We will have refreshments\, food\, a raffle for a heart rate monitor and more! \nI can’t believe that on August 23\, 2011\, I first opened our doors with a lot of passion\, heart\, motivation and dedication to help anyone of any age and fitness level get healthy through my Spinning classes! Bob Sypek\, at the young age of 85\, has done over 600 Spin Classes and is my Star Spinner that exemplifies that age is just a number! In 2013\, I added Tabata Bootcamp which is a High Intensity Interval Training Fitness Class. It is a fast\, effective and full body strength and cardio workout!  In 2014\, I added Jillian Michaels Bodyshred to the mix which is another HIIT Class. I will be bringing Bodyshred back at the end of October- beginning of November 2016. In August of 2016\, I doubled my space and brought in an incredible Yoga Instructor\, Jacqueline Tennant\, whose classes you are sure to love! Elizabeth Armenta also start teaching Zumba Muvz classes! I am grateful and humbled that our Live to Cycle family continues to grow!  It is an honor and a privilege to continue to offer the residents of Hollister just the right fitness class to empower them to lead a long\, healthy and fit life.
