His marriage is on the rocks and while he was brought to the United States as a baby\, his status as an undocumented immigrant is a constant weight on his young shoulders.  \nThe Mendoza Line takes place in the span of a few days after the June draft when a handful of players will be released to make way for the newest prospects.  This is not a fake baseball movie with a predictable melodramatic “big game” ending.  It is the dramatic and comedic reality of minor league baseball where more than just wins and losses are at stake. It not only gives us an inside look at life in the lower minor leagues\, but explores social issues that go beyond baseball. DESCRIPTION:OneJustice’s Justice Bus® Project\, Catholic Charities of Monterey County and Gavilan College are partnering to hold a free legal clinic for individuals interested in applying for citizenship. Attorneys will be available to assist individuals at any stage of the naturalization application process. English language assessments will be provided on-site and staff will also be screening for exceptions to the English language component of the naturalization exam. DESCRIPTION:The seventh annual Class of 1971 Scholarship fundraiser will be held  July 12\, 2014\, from 12 noon to 4 PM\, at the Bolado Park Golf Club in Tres Pinos\, California. This luncheon is the major fundraising event for raising money for scholarships awarded to graduating seniors from San Benito High School who have plans to further their education at a college\, university\, technical school\, or vocational school. Since 2009\,  the 1971 Baler alumni have awarded a grand total of $12\,000 to ten Balers. \nThe summer luncheon will include a silent auction and a raffle. Tickets are $25.00 per person.
