SUMMARY:Healthy Kids Day
DESCRIPTION:At the Y\, we believe kids can do anything with the right support. That’s why we are committed to helping kids get on (and stay on!) a healthy youth development journey that includes physical\, cognitive\, and social-emotional growth. From achieving goals\, to making friends\, and developing strong character\, the Y supports youth from cradle to career. We know that kids gain weight faster during the summer months and that youth from low income neighborhoods are disproportionately affected by summer learning loss due to limited or no access to reading materials outside of school. Healthy Kids Day is our annual\, nationwide initiative designed to inspire all youth\, parents\, and caregivers – regardless of membership status – to get active and make healthy choices over the summer and beyond. Healthy Kids Day is our largest single-day event celebrating youth development across the United States. \nJOIN US FOR THIS FREE FAMILY EVENT!

SUMMARY:Carl Luck Library Spring Break Activities
DESCRIPTION:Monday April 22-Let’s Roll! \nTo kick of “Boredom Busters Board Game Week” we’ll be rolling the dice with two well known games and two lesser known games. We’ll have the game tables set up everyday. Play can continue until library closes as long as there are enough players. All ages are welcomed. \nTuesday April 23- Classics  \nThe games are geared for a slightly older group\, however\, we can always stand up the dominoes to knock over for the younger “kids.” \nWednesday April 24- Going Places \nTravel to the past\, present and future with these travel themed games. Our game tables will be set up to visit a new frontier or to revisit an old favorite. \nThursday April 25- Card Games \nOur week continues with a room full of cards. It’s a bit of a mystery as to what we’ll be doing with them though. Be sure to wear clothes that can get a little paint on them because today we’ll be crafting some clever curiosities for a big event the Second Saturday in May. Don’t be late! \nFriday April 26- Trivia Game \nWe have a bit of trivia for everyone on our final game day of the week. Each table will play a different trivia game. Come join the fun! We’ll be open until 7 p.m. so if you arrive a bit late it’s okay to play after 3 p.m. \n  \n
