The show will feature two groups\, including Gavilan faculty member pianist\, Dahveed Behroozi\, and tenor saxophonist\, Ken Moran\, performing as a duet\, as well as the Gilroy High School Jazz Ensemble.   \n\n\nBand Director\, Mitch Goldsmith\, will be leading the highly talented Gilroy High Jazz Ensemble\, performing newer renditions of their jazz repertoire.   \n\n\n\n\n\nBoth Behroozi and Moran will be playing original material\, as well as selections from the American Songbook. Both musicians have earned high accolades across the international jazz scene.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nGeneral Admission is $20\, but students get in for free with their Student ID. DESCRIPTION:The Hollister Downtown Association\, in partnership with the City of Hollister and Bourdet’s Christmas Trees\, invite you to our 32nd Annual Lights On Celebration on Saturday\, November 26 from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. in downtown Hollister. This year’s theme is Celebrating 150 Hollister Christmases \nIn keeping with the year-long celebration for the City of Hollister’s 150th anniversary. The event kicks off with our Dec-A-Tree Project. This project began in 1994 to benefit families in need and help brighten their Holiday Season. The Hollister Downtown Association coordinates the decoration efforts by individuals\, businesses\, and youth service clubs. The trees are donated each year by Bourdet’s\nChoose & Cut Christmas Tree Farm. \nOur Holiday Car Display starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. and features this year’s Street Festival Winner Car Club with the Most Participation\, Impala Car Club. They will be displaying their vehicles on the corners of Seventh and San Benito Streets. \nAt 1 p.m.\, the Lights on Celebration will see the return of the Holiday Boutique at the Veterans’ Memorial Building. This year’s Holiday Boutique will feature over 30 Artisan vendors so you can start your holiday shopping with unique one-of-a-kind items. There will also be a Holiday Food Court starting at 11 a.m. and ending at 7:30 p.m. and will feature 8 local favorites to choose from\, plus your favorite Downtown restaurants will be open during the festivities. \nThere will be live entertainment starting at 3 p.m. at the Veterans’ Memorial Building\, with performances also at Fifth Street. This year’s performers include Ha’a Hula\, Animation Dance Community\, Fusion\, Yamamoto Hula Ohana\, and Enterprise Academy of Martial Arts. \nThe spectacular Lights On Celebration Parade will start at 5:30 p.m. starting on the corners of San Benito\nSt and Haydon St and will go through our downtown area and culminate on 5th St. This year’s parade will feature over 70 local businesses\, departments\, youth organizations\, schools and non-profit groups\nbringing their Christmas Cheer. This is also the first appearance of Santa and Mrs. Claus. \nThe funs continues as the City of Hollister’s Park and Recreation Department will be having their\nDowntown Hollister Christmas Tree Lighting at 7:15 p.m. in front of the Veterans’ Memorial Building. This year’s tree is over 14ft tall and will feature beautiful decorations and lights. The tree is being provided by Bourdet’s Choose & Cut Christmas Tree Farm. \nRight after the Tree Lighting\, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Holiday\nBoutique and will go until 8:30 p.m. when the Holiday Boutique will end. Photos will be taken by Zoom\nPhotoGraphix and Video Express and will cost $7 for a 5×7 photo. DESCRIPTION:The Hollister Recreation Department announced its hosting breakfast and photos with Santa Dec. 3 from 8-11 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building located on San Benito Street. \n“Come enjoy all you can eat pancakes with a serving of sausage and a drink\,” the release said. “When you finish your feast take part in some fun crafts or take a picture with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.” \nHollister Recreation said tickets can be purchased online or in person at Hollister Recreation\, 300 West Street. Tickets will also be available at the Veterans’ Memorial Building (649 San Benito Street) the day of the event. The event is free for the first 250 children ages 12 and under.
