SUMMARY:Hollister Hills SVRA 2018 Photo Challenge
DESCRIPTION:All trails lead to adventure\, are you ready for the challenge? \nHollister Hills SVRA wants you to enjoy our beautiful park in your favorite form of recreation. HHSVRA offers a variety of trail systems designed for several recreational activities such as motorcycle\, ATV\, 4X4\, mountain biking\, hiking and equestrian riding. \nLaunching this February\, the HHSVRA photo challenge will be a self-guided excursion focusing on one of the categories listed. Participants are encouraged to be creative while taking their pictures and have fun enjoying the outdoors. The first 100 participants to complete the photo challenge will receive an OHV lunch bag. (One lunch bag per entry) \nTo participate\, each entry must choose one of the recreational categories and take a photo at four selected locations along designated trails. The photos must be emailed to hh.svra.education@gmail.com along with a filled out visual media release form. Once the photos are received and verified\, they will be posted on all of HHSVRA social media sites. The first 100 participants will receive an email confirmation to bring to the park office to receive their prize. If you have any questions\, please feel free to contact the park at 831-638-3207. DESCRIPTION:SAN JUAN BAUTISTA\, Calif. – Uniformed personnel from the California Highway Patrol’s Hollister-Gilroy Area office and community members will come together in an informal\, neutral space to discuss community issues\, have coffee\, and build relationships. \nAll community members are invited to attend. The event begins at 9:30 am on Thursday\, February 15th at Vertigo Coffee Roasters in San Juan Bautista located at 81 4th Street. \nCoffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the Department’s work in Santa Clara County neighborhoods. \nThe majority of contacts law enforcement has with the public happen during emergencies or emotional situations. Those situations are not always the most effective times for relationship building with the community\, and some community members may feel officers are unapproachable on the street. Coffee with a Cop breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed\, one-on-one interaction. \nCoffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice\, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. The fundraiser will help support the organizations mission. Hiram will perform a wide range of music from Hawaiian to blues\, classic rock to jazz and classical. Join us for this first for San Juan Bautista! \nHiram will will hold a 1 hour clinic at 5:30 p.m. for a maximum of 30 students prior to his 7 p.m. concert.Ukulele students and players of all levels will have the opportunity to learn from one of the greats. Tickets for the clinic are $12 and for the fundraiser concert are $18 and are available online at www.rozashouse.org and on Event bright. The event will be held in the beautiful Native Daughters of the Golden West Adobe\, 203 4th Street\, San Juan Bautista\, CA 95045. \nHiram Bell was born and raised in Honolulu\, Hawaii and is a self-taught musician and artist. This year’s tour features 29 local artists and artisans and showcases works in painting\, photography\, pottery & ceramics\, stained-glass\, jewelry and more!
