DESCRIPTION:The Mexican-American Committee on Education (MACE) of San Benito County wishes to invite the community to the 45th annual Cinco de Mayo Scholarship Dinner & Dance. The event is scheduled on Saturday\, May 2 at the Elks Lodge located at 351 Astro Drive in Hollister.     \nMACE\, through proceeds from the annual Cinco de Mayo Scholarship Banquet\, is able to award scholarships to graduating high school seniors from San Benito County. MACE attributes its success to community members and corporate sponsors who support the annual scholarship banquet. Since its formation in 1970\, MACE has raised over $400\,000 and granted scholarships to over 500 students. Many scholarship recipients are very successful today in their careers and education – attending several of colleges and universities throughout the United States.

DESCRIPTION:There will be one night of scouting on April 29\, from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  If you have thought of joining scouts in time to take part in Cub Scout Fort Benito Day Camp\, out at Bolado Park\, now is the time.  We can sign up boys going into first thru fifth grade for Cub Scouts.  Recruiters will be availalble at all Hollister School District Elementary Schools prepared to sign you up for Cub Scout and get you enrolled in Fort Benito Day Camp\, that runs from June 15-19 daily from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.  You can also join Boy Scouts which is for boys ages 10 years  (and have finished fifth grade) and are not yet 18 years old.  This will also be in time to attend summer camp with boy scout troops.
