SUMMARY:SBSC The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
DESCRIPTION:When Bob Bradford said that this year’s Christmas pageant wasn’t going to be “anything special”\, boy was he wrong. He and the town had no idea how different this year’s production would be. The classic Nativity story is turned on its ear in “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” performed this season by the San Benito Stage Company. The company is excited to present its first ever holiday production to our community.  A family friendly show\, it features actors of all ages as they bring this beloved children’s book to life.  \n“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever\,” by Barbara Robinson\, is based on her 1971 book of the same name.  It is the story of how the “horrible Herdmans”\, a group of unruly siblings\, commandeer the local church’s annual Christmas pageant taking all the leading roles for themselves. Grace Bradford\, the director by default\, attempts to manage the mayhem while enduring much unwelcome commentary from the locals. A comedy at its core\, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” is also both charming and heartwarming. Combined with classic carols\, this production is the feel-good show of the season and a  “must see” for the holidays.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for our New Year’s Day Renewal Hike on Sunday\, January 1\, 2023\, at 10 a.m. at the Mudstone Ranch entrance at Hollister Hills SVRA.  Start the New Year off on the right foot. This is a family friendly hike\, 1.5 miles along an easy to moderate trail (Pepper Tree Trail). The normal parking fee of $5 (cash only) applies however no fee for the program. Dogs on leash are welcome.  Remember to bring water\, layered clothing\, sunscreen and comfortable hiking shoes. \nPlease contact Hollister.Hills@parks.ca.gov for any questions or call 831-636-2065. \nThe hike will be cancelled with rain.

In order for the underground to reach supremacy as a unified crime faction\, crime bosses from Atlantic City\, New York City and Chicago have agreed to establish The Commission during a gathering known as the Atlantic City Conference. The Commission is set to be a governing body that will oversee all mob organizations in the country. Various opinions have been made known on how The Commission should be run\, and who will be the boss of all bosses. Some high ranking officials are adamantly against the idea\, which has led to preemptive hostility. Nonetheless\, the crime bosses have agreed to conduct themselves with integrity at the conference.
