SUMMARY:Monday Craft Night: Macrame Plant Hangers
DESCRIPTION:The first in our series of Monday night indoor crafting events at The GardenShoppe. These macrame plant hangers are made using upcycled textile remnants. The ticket price of $22.00 includes a kit to make one hanger which you will choose when you arrive. There are several colors to choose from. We will have planters\, and succulents if you want to add on a pot to make\, and we will have pre-made ones that match the hanger. Recommended for ages 9+. Anyone under 15 must have an adult accompany them. After practicing\, we think this event would be good in pairs. We have a limited supply of kits so highly recommend pre-purchasing a ticket. You must arrive by no later than 7PM. We do not allow outside beverages on the property at any time. No sippy cups\, tumblers\, or disposable cups. We have a huge variety of beer\, wine and non-alc beverages to choose from\, including water.

DESCRIPTION:“Tales\, Traditions and Hidden Secrets” paintings and monotypes by Leonard Han. \nDriven by world culture\, myth\, history and existential concerns\, Leonard Han’s paintings shift in representation between depictive imagery and abstraction with mythic images from everyday experience. Chinese art emphasizes mood and the mood of various art forms\, painting\, as in Taiji (Tai Chi)\, can emphasize stereoscopy\, holism\, and synergy\, requiring nuanced subtlety and layering. \nAlongside his painting\, Leonard Han has been devoted to producing\, teaching and performing two cultural art disciplines\, Taiji and Chinese Lion Dance. He formed the Monterey Bay Lion Dance Team and for the last 25 years the team has performed for people throughout Monterey \nCounty\, reaching across and beyond ethnic and cultural lines. DESCRIPTION:SELPA Open House\, co-sponsored with the Community Advisory Committee (CAC)\, is an opportunity for parents and the community to meet with SELPA staff and/or parent representatives in an informal\, casual setting. The Open House is an opportunity for parents/guardians to discuss and ask questions about IEPs\, gain information about compliance\, obtain resources for students\, make needed connections between Districts and agencies and get tips and tricks for navigating conflict\, etc. from a neutral party. The SELPA will be sponsoring 5 in-person Open Houses at the SELPA Office at 191 Alvarado Street on: \n  \nSeptember 12\, 2022\, 9am-10am \nNovember 16\, 2022\, 11am-12pm \nJanuary 13\, 2023\, 1pm-2pm \nMarch 14\, 2022\, 2pm-3pm \nMay 17\, 2023\, 3pm-4pm \n  \nAnd 4 virtual Open-House via Zoom on: \nOctober 11\, 2022\, 2pm-3pm \nDecember 15\, 2022\, 3pm-4pm \nFebruary 13\, 2023\, 5pm-6pm \nApril 12\, 2023\, 6pm-7pm \nFor in-person Open House\, all COVID-19 measures for Districts and school sites will be implemented\, including COVID screening and masks.
