DESCRIPTION:The Workforce Investment Board consists of members of the private sector and government\, working in harmony to provide training for individuals who presently face barriers to employment. Our goal is to provide employees\, training programs\, and hiring incentives to area employers. \nThe San Benito County Workforce Investment Board strives to remove employment barriers through our training programs. Our participants attain greater economic and personal self-sufficiency\, while satisfying local labor market needs. \nThe Workforce Investment Board does not provide direct training services. It contracts with private and public vocational organizations throughout the area to carry out training. The contractors must meet our training and job placement goals to fulfill their contracts and to be paid. \nAll meetings are open to the public. The full WIB meets quarterly (Jan\, Apr\, Jul\, Oct) the Executive Committee meets on all months inbetween.
