Story Times for toddlers and families are now available at the San Benito County Free Library on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting next week in November of 2013. Story Time Fun will continue on Wednesday mornings from 10:30am-11:30am with Vicki Mata, Children's Librarian, for Toddler Storytimes in the Barbara Room. Story Hour will feature stories, music, rhymes, and fingerplays followed by Stay & Play fun activities with crafts, educational toys and AWE pre-literacy computers for preschoolers. Current news is that last Wednesday on October 30th, 28 excited toddlers and preschoolers in costumes with 20 parents from Vicki's morning storytime marched in a special Halloween parade around the children's area while intently banging on musical instruments.
On the first and second Tuesday of each month a Family Story Time from 6:00pm-7:00pm will start on November 5th with Storyteller Gladis Trejo. This exciting new program is co-sponsored by First 5 of San Benito County and the County Library to promote child development, learning and fun at the library. This children's program held in the Barbara Room will feature stories, songs, crafts, and games.
On the first Wednesday of the month, Megan's Storytime also for toddlers (ages 2-4) will be held from 10:30am-11:00am in the Barbara Room. Activities will include stories, songs, rhymes and fingerplays! Please join us for Play, Learn and Grow... Together!
