Youth Alliance White Nights

Celebrating Community Heroes

YA Announces the 2013 Community Heroes at the "White Nights…a Benefit for Peace" on May 18th. Recent events, both locally and nationally, show the importance of working to create the community that our children deserve. This year's "White Nights…a Benefit for Peace" reminds us that together we can continue to create hope and opportunities for hundreds of local children and teens.

This year the Youth Alliance is pleased to be honoring two outstanding community members as YA's 2013 Community Heroes!

Mr. Ray Sanchez of San Juan Bautista is a chef and small business owner who has generously volunteered his time, talent, and grilling equipment to cook for numerous nonprofit organizations and school clubs including Pop Warner, Sacred Heart, Baler Football, among many others! His focus on youth and the elderly as well as the way in which he engages the youth in the cooking process, make him a well known and sought after BBQ Chef. For over five years, Ray has also volunteered his time to teach young men the skill and love of cooking and can be seen on the Dude Food Show on CMAP TV.

Mr. Jaime Rosso of Gilroy, will also be honored for his longstanding commitment to youth and families. He is the owner of a successful furniture business and has been involved in and concerned about the Gilroy community for over thirty years. As a Trustee and President of the Gilroy Unified School District Board of Education, Jaime has championed various educational initiatives throughout the years. He is also a founding member of the Gilroy Hispanic Chamber of Commerce that has given numerous scholarships to youth.

Please join us as we celebrate their great leadership and generosity and raise funds to support the Youth Alliance's work on behalf of youth and families.

The event will be held on Saturday, May 18th at San Juan Oaks Golf Club located at 3825 Union Road in Hollister. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for Reception & Auction Preview, Dinner, Program, and Dancing till 11 p.m.
