Alice M. Freitas

Alice M. Freitas passed away in Hollister at the age of 89. She was born in Los Banos and lived in San Juan Bautista for many years. She married her husband, Lawrence Freitas, in 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1998. She was a member of Mission San Juan Bautista, AST, Native Daughters of the Golden West, Italian Catholic Federation, Mission Altar Society, active in 4-H, taught CCD, served on the election board and was a member of The Farm Bureau.

She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Barbara Sandles McAbee (Raymond) of Hollister, Bev Jaime (David) of San Jose and Lawrene Sutti (Steve) of San Juan Bautista, her sister, Rosie Ferro of Los Banos, her grandchildren, Gordon Francis Sandles (Alice), Kimberley Meacham (Stacey), Marcus Jaime (Andrea), Dena Franco (Joe), Audra Geneau, Brian Sutti (Regina) and Nathan Sutti (Ashley) and her great grandchildren, Gordon Sandles, Henry Sandles, James Sandles, Matilda Meacham, Courtney Franco, Anthony Franco, Jonathan Franco, Alli Jaime, Lexi Jaime, Chanze Jaime, Tyler Sutti, Francesca Sutti, Blaize Geneau, Giana Sutti, Easton Sutti, Jasmyne Sutti and Zoe Sutti (On the way).

Donations are preferred to St. Francis Retreat or a charity of your choice.

The Rosary will be on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 at 9:30 AM at Mission San Juan Bautista with the Mass to follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at San Juan District Cemetery.
