Passed Away On: December 7, 2022

Annabelle passed away peacefully on December 7, 2022, just six days before her 92nd birthday. She was born in Hollister and grew up in Gilroy on the family ranch. She was a graduate of Gilroy High School. She married Joe Conconi and moved to Hollister where they owned and operated the John Costa Dairy along with Joe’s brother, Benny Costa. Annabelle worked for the Del Curto Meat Company as their Office Manager for over 30 years. During that time, she was active in several Bowling Leagues and the Degree of Pocahontas Women’s Auxiliary. She was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation, Tres Pinos Pedro Club, and Sacred Heart and St. Benedict churches. She volunteered for many years with the St. Benedict Love Ministry where she and her committee made Christmas Card ornaments each year for residents of the local skilled nursing facilities.

Annabelle loved to travel. She and her husband Joe traveled to Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, and Japan and took many cruises. Her favorites were traveling to Northern Italy where she visited her father’s family and cruising the Panama Canal. She was known for her hospitality and love of entertaining. Many holiday gatherings were hosted by Annabelle and Joe. Whenever anyone came to visit, she welcomed them with open arms, delicious food, cappuccino, and a game of Pedro.

Annabelle was preceded in death by her husband Joe, parents Gugliermo and Mary Demichelis, sisters Marie Skov and Virginia Pura, brother Willam Demichelis and nephew Anthony Intravia. She is survived by her sister Katherine Intravia, nieces Kathie Rossi and family, Heidi Pura and family, Sharon Costa and husband John Najera, Genevieve Lausten (Tom); nephews Robert Myers, Mike Intravia and family, Jeremy Pura and family, Charles Skov, Steve Costa and Mark Costa and family.
