Calvin Clarke was born January 18, 1936 in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada. He went to sleep early Monday morning, January 25, 2021 in Hollister, California.
If you were acquainted with Calvin you know just how much he loved Newfoundland.
Calvin graduated from High School in 1954. He married his high school sweetheart Lorraine in 1956. He attended Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. His goal was the field of dentistry. In 1962 he was accepted at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and graduated on the Dean’s List in 1966. Just before graduation he visited Hollister, liked the area, and purchased his practice from Michael Clark, D.D.S. He saw his first patient in Hollister on August 1, 1966. He loved his patients and his final day in his dental office was January 12, 2021.
Calvin was an active member of the Seventh day Adventist Church here in Hollister where he served his church in many capacities. To name just a few he was an elder in the church, functioned on the Church Board, School Board Chair for the Hollister SDA Christian School, Finance Committee, etc.
Calvin was preceded in death by his father George Clarke, mother Irene Clarke and five siblings. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Lorraine, daughter Debbie, son Kevin, daughter Shannon, his brother George, sisters Dallis and Rennette, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calvin is now resting awaiting Jesus Second Coming.
