On January 3, 2023, Dolores passed away peacefully, a month before turning 102 years. Dolores was predeceased by John, her loving husband of 57 years, and her sweet great-granddaughter, Lola.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children; John Alvarez, Alexandria and her husband Ron Heinzen, Paul Alvarez, Mary Ellen and her husband David Bena, her 14 grandchildren, and her 20 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at St Benedict Catholic Church on 1200 Fairview Rd. in Hollister. An interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery at 1100 Hillcrest Rd.
Dolores’ family wishes to give thanks to family and friends who visited their mother while she was at Mabie South Nursing Facility. They also offer a special thanks to the staff at William & Inez Skilled Nursing Facility for the incredible loving care they gave to their mother. They are grateful to Black- Cooper-Sander for their honorable service and to Father Rudy who is officiating the Funeral Mass.
