Passed Away On: June 15, 2021
On June 15, 2021, Gloria DeLaRosa and Santiago Gomez and our family lost our beloved son, and brother to Jessica DeLaRosa and Joseph DeLaRosa, father to Julissa (16), Jacob Jr. (14), Zaylah (6), and Genevieve (1 ½) and grandson Aaron (2 months), nephews Joseph Jr and Angel.
Jacob was born on April 15, 1987.
He was a proud family member of 20+ Army veterans, 1 Marine, 1 Air Force, 4 police officers, 1 probation officer and 4 Registered Nurses. The things he most enjoyed doing was golfing, fishing, fixing old cars, construction, building pools, baseball, football and pretty much any sports. He also loved hanging out with his friends and of course BBQing for his friends and family as he was an excellent cook.
He also liked playing pool at Whiskey Creek and being the designated driver for his friends, (even on a suspended license), getting pulled over but was let go with congratulations for being the designated driver. Just a little fun fact.
Jacob was preceded in death by grandparents Salome C. DeLaRosa and Esther Robles DeLaRosa; aunt Nina DeLaRosa, Mary Garcia, Dolores DeLaRosa, Natividad DeLaRosa; uncle Mario DeLaRosa and niece Callie DeLaRosa.
The mothers of his children are fiancé Vanessa Ruiz, Jayme Padilla and Krystal Virrute. Aunts and uncles are Lupe Avila, Salla DeLaRosa, Virginia Gonzalez, Ignacio DeLaRosa (from Texas), Daniel DeLaRosa, Ofelia Martinez (from Florida), Joe DeLaRosa, Johnny DeLaRosa, Frances Robles.
Visitation will be on Sunday, June 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 28 at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito Street, Hollister. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
