Passed Away On: January 25, 2021
Karl passed away peacefully at home in Hollister, California on January 25, 2021.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Dee ( Dolores) and his dear sister Millie Mascot (Deiter). He will be dearly missed by his five children and their spouses, Jennifer Camilleri (Larry), Holly Rice (Roy), Sterling Jarone, Lamont Jarone, and Karl Jarone Jr; as well as three step-children George Pfeffer (Barbara), Wayne Pfeffer (Jill), and Carolyn Bowers (Phil). He will be greatly missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Karl grew up in San Jose, California and graduated from San Jose State where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree. He went on to teach science at Dartmouth Jr High for 31 years. After his retirement he was co-owner of the KOA Campground in San Juan Bautista, California for 13 years. After his “second” retirement from the campground he enjoyed working with Dee two days a week at the Tres Pinos Store where they made many great friends and acquaintances.
Karl liked to travel with Dee in their fifth wheel and ran into many former students in their travels. He never missed Jeopardy; loved feeding all the wild birds in his backyard; he had a wonderful voice and enjoyed singing along with Frank Sinatra; and was always up for a good crossword puzzle.
Husband, father, brother, grandpa, and friend; he will be greatly missed by all.
