Longina Moreno Montoya passed away peacefully on Saturday, 11/11/23 at 2:26 pm.
Born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Longina moved to Hollister, California in 1957 where she raised her entire family. She was a farm worker and a long-time cannery worker in San Benito County. She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Montoya, and her grandchildren: Oscar Ramos, Laura & Veronica Montoya, Regina Conway, Josué Montoya, James Conway, and Robert Montoya. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Jonathan Ramos, Josiah Montoya, Jared Ramos, Isabella Rodriguez, and Mia Montoya. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Montoya, son Adolfo Montoya, and youngest son, Noé Montoya.
Our family is grateful for the full life Longina led but will greatly miss her dry sense of humor, her love of music and dance, and her colloquial story-telling of the family’s history. She was the center of our family and will be forever missed.
