He was born in Hollister. Mariano was raised in San Juan Bautista. His parents were Maria and Mariano Garces. Mariano lived many years in San Juan Bautista until they moved to Hollister.
He leaves behind his sister Nancy A. Garces and his niece Nancy A. Garces. Mariano liked to collect baseball cards and antique collectable toys.
