Passed Away On: September 11, 2021
Nena Caz Mary Ellen ‘Nena’ Casarez-Farias, age 78, passed peacefully on Saturday, September 11 2021.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her parents Pablo and Guadalupe Casarez, her brother and sister, Paul and Rosemary Casarez and great-grandchild Tyler Robertson.
She is survived by her long-time partner, Alejandro Roman of Mexico. Son, Ronald (Lisa) Casarez; grandchildren Ronnie, Adrian, Denissa, and great-granddaughters, Heather and Audri; Son, Randy (Sandra) Casarez; grandchildren, Randy Jr., Davina and great-children, Jeramiah and Reyna.; Daughter, Rita (Eric) Pulido; grandchildren, Sylvonna, Kayla (Tommy), Estevan and great-grandson Cole.; Daughter, Ruby Casarez; Daughter, Becky (Xavier) Vasquez; grandchildren, Anthony, Jacob, Monique, Danielle and great-grandchildren, Jessie, Lexander, and Naveah.
She will be missed by her siblings, Val (Nellie), Angie (Pena), Ray (Carmen), Richie, John (Sarah), Daniel, and Isabel (Marty) and sister in law Rosie Casarez. She was a Tia to countless nieces and nephews’, great nieces and great nephews and even more honorary grandkids.
Nena always held a special spot in her heart for her Niece Annette DelReal who helped care for her for many years. She lived and raised her family in Hollister, where she made many friends.
Anyone who knew Nena knew she had a personality to remember. Nena held different jobs throughout her life and enjoyed telling stories about each of them in her later years. Nena was funny, caring and always up for a good joke or story.
She enjoyed feeding the birds, watching the SF Giants & 49’ers, doing her crosswords, watching her western movies and calling her loved ones daily to catch up. Our family is honored at all the love, prayers, stories and condolences that have been shared since her passing.
