Rachel R. Zapata passed away on June 12, 2020, in Hollister at the age of 69. She was born in Indio, California and lived here since 1958. She married her husband, Robert, in 1972 in Hollster. She worked as a caregiver in healthcare for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Zapata of Hollister, her two children, Monica and Robert Zapata both of Hollister, her brothers and sisters, Joe Rodriguez of Hollister, Frank Rodriguez of Hollister, Lucy Hernandez of Hollister, Yolanda Alessi of Gilroy, Carol Rodriguez of Coos Bay, Oregon and Tillie Kalen of Hollister and her five grandchildren, Lacisha Smith, Betty Jean Smith, Angel Zapata Barajas, Roger Zapata and Soledad Zapata.
Private cremation will be followed by private family internment.
