Robert A. "Bobby" Lujan passed away in Hollister at the age of 57. He was born in Hollister and lived here most of his life. He enjoyed cooking, working on the veteran's breakfast at the high school, was active in the Latino Leadership Conference, liked to fish and golf and spend time with his family and the children. He worked for J.W. Marriott-engineering maintenance supervisor-Palm Desert, CA and received the J.W. Marriott Award of Excellence-Orlando, FL and was a former partner-Silver Seas Tile Company- LaQuinta, CA. He married his wife, Araceli, in Indio in 1998.
He is survived by his wife, Araceli "Sally" Lujan of Hollister, his children, Christina Lujan of Indio, Robert Abel Lujan of Indio, Precilla Rodriguez of Bakersfield, Cristal Jaime (David) of Hollister, Martin Gonzales of Indio and Rudy Gonzales of Hollister, his brothers and sisters, Richard Lujan of Indio, Bernice Lujan of Coadhella, James Lujan of Coachella, Veronica Rodriguez of Coachella and his mother in law, Maria Guadalupe B. Lozoya of Hollister and 17 grandchildren and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother, Benjamin Lujan, Jr and his parents, Benjamin Lujan Sr and Lydia Alvarez.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. Pastor Ernie Castillo of Water of Life Church will officiate. Inurnment will follow at the IOOF Cemetery.
Donations are preferred to LULAC Youth.
A reception will follow at Dunne Park Clubhouse on the corner of 6th and West Streets in Hollister.
