Robert Edwin "Bob" Camp passed away at his Hollister residence on Friday, Oct. 20 at the age of 74 years.
Bob was born in Merkel, Texas. He joined the US Air Force in Okinawa, Japan and served for four years. Then he studied electrical engineering at Houston, Texas as a Line Engineer for more than 20 years.
He was the only son among the six siblings of the Camp family. His five sisters are Shirley, Beverly, Lavonna, Sherry and Barbara. Bob met his wife Bernadette in the Philippines, through Bernadette's sister, Immie and her husband Andrew Brooks. Bob fell in love with Bernadette and at the same time fell in love the beautiful Island of Philippines. Then they got married and stayed there for more than 4 years with their daughter Thessa, who is now currently serving the country in the US Navy with the influence of his late dad Robert. He was fond living in the Philippines where he enjoyed the company of his wife's family and met some good friends. Afterwards, they moved to California and settled in Hollister for more than 5 years
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 22 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home.
