Shirley A. Harlan, born March 22, 1945, in Hollister, California, went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2023.
She is survived by her only child, David Harlan and his family. Growing up in Hollister and putting down roots in Gilroy in the 70’s, she left this earth shortly after being diagnosed with stage 4 intestinal cancer.
She was loved, appreciated and will be greatly missed by all those who loved and knew her.
This aggressive and rare form of cancer took a mom, mother-in-law, grandma and wonderful friend of those who loved and knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that any gifts be donations to cancer research in her honor. Knowing Shirley’s frugality, she’d rather people spent their money on something much greater than flowers that will someday wilt.
