Passed Away On: August 12, 2020
Teresa Salcido Barajas passed away at her Hollister residence surrounded by her loving family on August 12, 2020.
Teresa was born January 1942 to Hermelinda, and Rafael Salcedo, in Jaripo, Michoacán, Mexico. She arrived in California 1958 to reunite with her mother and siblings. She was the eldest of 6 children.
She worked as a seam inspector for Tri Valley Growers, until it was relocated. Following she worked at Penny Wise Drug Store, and later in food service at Hazel Hawkins Hospital.
Teresa is survived by her husband of 53 years, Florencio Barajas, son John, wife Lupe, sons John, George and Jack. Daughter Letty, husband Frank, sons Noah and Andrés Cruz. Sister Dolores Navarrete, brothers Art and Mario Flores, sister in laws, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father Rafael Salcedo, daughter Linda A Barajas, mother Hermelinda Díaz, brother Rafael Salcedo, and brother John Díaz. Viewing and visitation will be held August 16 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. at Grunnagle -Ament-Nelson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be private. Rosary/Mass will be held Monday August 17, 2020 10:00 a.m. at San Juan Mission. Internment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Hollister.
