Passed Away On: December 20, 2021
Vivian De Rosa Martin, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away December 20, 2021.
The youngest daughter of Joaquin De Rosa and Anna Escover De Rosa. Vivian was born and raised on the family San Juan Valley Ranch. She attended Olympia Grammar School across the road from the family ranch and always spoke highly of her well-known teacher Hazel Bengard Schulze; she attended local schools.
Vivian married Joseph P. Martin in 1946. A homemaker extraordinaire who loved cooking for her family. Her holiday dressing was the best. She enjoyed listening to music, particularly Big Band and Dixieland, tending to her roses, numerous potted pelargoniums and fuchsias.
She enjoyed feeding peanuts to the jays and nectar to the hummingbirds. A voracious reader who was always happy and giving. She never complained and she considered it a waste of time.
She is survived by her daughters: Noreen Martin, Diane Williams, Judie Vierra; Grandchildren, Thomas J. Williams and Meghan Williams; Great-Grandsons, Dillan, Drew, and Dayne Williams.
Vivian is preceded in death by her husband Joe and sisters, Evelyn Souza, and Helen Taylor.
Services have been held and a private interment has been held at Calvary Mosoleum.
