Passed Away On: May 24, 2022

Zavan Jesus Quezada gained his angel wings on Tuesday May 24 2022.

Zavan was born May 26, 1981 in Hollister, California. From a young age he was always full of life and energy. He always had big dreams even as a young boy. Zavan grew up in Hollister and attended Sacred Heart as a young boy and San Benito High School. At the age of 20 he became a father to his first born Isaias Quezada and 2 years later welcomed his second son Ethaniel Quezada.

In 2004 he moved to San Francisco where he spent the next 10 years of his life as a fashion blogger and motivational speaker. All while pursuing a career in fashion and arts. Zavan made his way back to Hollister in 2014 where he followed his dreams in becoming an artist. He was very well known for his “street art” as he called it and inspirational words he would chalk around on the streets of Hollister. Zavan became very involved in city council meetings in efforts to bring a youth center to his community where kids could have a place to express themselves through art.

Dancing was another way he showed his passion of self-expression, as Zavan would always say “Dance like everyone is watching”. He touched many lives with his acts of kindness towards others, his words of encouragement and always brought a smile to people’s faces. He was unique, always stood out from the crowd constantly chasing life for inspiration on his next project.

Zavan is survived by his father Jesus Quezada, two sons Isaias and Ethaniel Quezada, sister Kyesis Autumn Cecena nephew Xerxes Jesse Jamez and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother Leticia Gutierrez, his grandmother Isabel Gutierrez and grandfather Alfonso Quezada.
