Enterprise Academy of Martial Arts Owner Mark Preader named 2018 Martial Arts Master

The USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame recently awarded local martial arts instructor Mark Preader with the esteemed Hall of Heroes - Martial Arts Instructor of the Year award. He earned the award because of his work with Enterprise Academy of Martial Arts, as well as his work in the community.

The martial arts instructor and his staff are dedicated to helping kids and adults of all ages and abilities become their best selves and to achieve their goals. Staff have an individualized and holistic approach to martial arts, according to a recent press release. The children are taught early on how to treat others with kindness and what to do if they are the victims of bullying. The studio is a place of positivity, learning, and respect that promotes the feeling that everyone is valued, no matter their rank or experience level.

Preader is a loving husband to Mellie and a father to two children, Claire and Jack. In his spare time, Preader advocates for anti-bullying and visits schools in the community to help spread his message of kindness and tolerance to youth. He often suits up as Batman to visit children in hospitals while sharing his message of strength and hope during challenging times. Preader also opens up his martial arts studio for free women's self-defense classes.

The Hollister-based martial arts instructor of the year has dedicated himself and his studio to making a positive impact in the lives of the people of San Benito County and beyond.

 

Enterprise Academy of Martial Arts was founded by Mark Preader in 2006. The studio teachers mixed martial arts, is fully independent, and has prided itself in teaching martial arts and life skills to students of all ages and abilities. The arts mixtures taught include Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Eskrima, Arnis, and Kali. Youth classes begin at age 3-4 with the Early Skillz program. The Basic Skillz program is for ages 5-6, and Core Skillz for ages 7-12. The Black Belt Training programs offer advanced-level training in the arts, including sparring, weapons training, and agility and stamina challenges. Enterprise also teachers Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do, the only studio on the Central Coast authorized to teach Bruce Lee's form of martial arts.
