The Hollister Police Department responded to a report of shots fired about 1 p.m. Monday after multiple callers reported that shots were fired in the area of the 500 block of San Benito Street, near Sixth.
No injuries were reported, but damage to property in the area was observed, police said in a press release.
"This is an active investigation and detectives are on-scene," the report, released at 2:13 p.m., said. "Further details will be available after investigation."
