The San Benito Babe Ruth Bambino Division is proud to announce that is has been awarded a $3,500 Community Matching Grant from the Community Foundation for San Benito County. This grant will allow the program to continue to grow and expand.
The Bambino division is for teens and adults who have physical or developmental disabilities. The division is currently in the middle of completing its first fall season. It currently has four teams serving about 28 players from our community. The division allows individuals the opportunity to participate in a sport, while at the same time meeting new friends, getting exercise and developing baseball skills.
The Community Matching grant will help provide both uniforms and equipment for the players to use each season. The Bambino Division will also be offering a spring season, running from March-June. For more information on the Bambino Division, contact Adam Mendolla at amendolla4@yahoo.com.
