Southside School District board member positions are up for election this year and as a district, we urgently need them filled. Currently, there are four open positions.

School governess, leadership, school vision, and financial responsibility are all vital components in the operation of the Southside School District. Our leadership team is requesting for interested individuals to get involved now.

In order to serve as a board member there are three qualifications:

  1. Applicant must be a resident of the Southside School District
  2. Applicant must be registered to vote in the Southside School District
  3. Applicant must be 18 years of age or older

If you are interested in serving on the board, you will need to complete a few steps. First is to visit the website for the county on San Benito Registrar of Voters and click on the link to schedule an appointment. In the appointment they will walk you through all the steps needed to officially apply. It is not difficult, they will help you with all the paperwork and will not take more than 20 minutes to complete.

Our students and our leadership team needs you! The time commitment for serving on the board is one evening meeting a month (first Wednesday night of the month) for about two hours. Other than the board meetings, the board communicates via email for all other school related business. Please get involved. The window for applying is now, July 16 to August 10. After August 10, the window for applications closes.
