On January 7, 2021 our 83 year old cowboy, Clarence Albert “Clancy” Wilborn, rode off into the sunset. He passed at home in Tres Pinos surrounded by his loving family.
After graduating in ’55 from Kern County Union High School he attended Fresno State College where he was on the rodeo team– riding Brahma bulls and bucking broncos. He served in the Sea Bees followed by many years on horseback working in feed lots and on ranches.
Clancy was employed as a master mechanic for JI Case for 31 years and completed his career at Robert A Bothman Concrete. Clancy is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Nanci and the children he chose Michael Wilborn, Christy Wilborn, Karen (Chris) Foster and Wendi (Wendell) Dutcher; his grandchildren Kellye (Eddie), Korey, Kacey (Ryan), Stephanie (Matt), Cody (Briana), Kati (Kyle) and Joey; great grandchildren Taylor, Irie and Archie, sister-in-law Jo Macaluso and many very special nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by all who love him.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
