Jimmy Dean passed away in Coon Rapids Minnesota on January 2, 2020 at the age of 62. He was born on April 8, 1957 in Hollister Ca. to Vincent and Essie Fontanilla. He grew up in Hollister attending local schools and graduating from San Benito Joint Union High School in 1975. He worked for Tipton Motor Company in the mid-eighties. In the early 1990’s Jimmy, along with his mom, moved to Kentucky for a couple of years. They then moved to Minnesota to be closer to his brother Bill and lived there till his passing. Jimmy enjoyed stream and river fishing, camping and family gatherings. He didn’t have many hobbies but one thing he did like and was very particular about was his vehicles. He kept each and every one of them in tip top shape and you didn’t dare put a finger print smudge on the paint or you would hear about it for sure. His other joy was his jack russell dog, Duddy. He is survived by his mother Essie Fontanilla of Hollister. Sisters Beverly Bettencourt (Robert) of Hollister, Yvonne Prete (Gerry) of Trabuco Canyon CA., brothers Bill Fontanilla (JerryLyne) of Minnesota and Gary Fontanilla (Rhonda) of Chowchilla CA. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Vincent Fontanilla.
