Joseph Angel Gutierrez passed peacefully on the 15 of November 2021, at the age of 83. Joseph, the 4th of 9 children was born to parents Prudencia Gutierrez Perez and Otilio Gutierrez de Luna on the 2nd of August, 1938 in Monte Escobedo, Zacatecas.
Joseph worked as a landscaper for over 45 years, owning his own companies named “Gutierrez Landscape Co.” in Thousand Oaks, California and “Evergreen Landscape” in Hollister, California
Joseph had a green thumb- he loved to garden, he also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles, rebuilding classic cars, and most importantly spending time with his family. A lot of people know that Joseph loved to spend his time in his garage with the garage door open, it was his own personal “man cave.” In the garage he would drink his coffee, watch the news, listen to the Spanish radio, and would always be working on or building something. If he wasn’t in the garage, you would find him in the yard planting, fixing sprinklers, or gone to Ace Hardware. He always said he did not like being indoors, as he spent most of his life working outdoors.
Joseph was very outgoing; he had a good way of always becoming friends with his neighbors that led to strong friendships. Joseph was so charismatic that he even built strong friendships with the local fed ex driver, USPS driver, pharmacy team at Nob Hill, and his doctors. He was and will forever be known as a hard worker, someone who always lend a helping hand, made people laugh and always had a smile on his face.

His brother and sisters Aurelio Gutierrez of Turlock, Otilia G. Gaeta of San Jose, and Maria Elena G Matievich of Alameda and his countless grandchildren and great grandchildren.
