Kenneth D. Dilley passed away peacefully at his Hollister home at the age of 81 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Durango, CO and lived in Hollister for 49 years. He married his wife, Charlotte, in Glendale AZ in 1962 who he met while attending Northern Arizona University. There he received his Bachelor of Arts and Masters degrees in education. He taught high school in McNary, AZ and then Hollister for 46 years and cherished each student he taught. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and attended Sacred Heart and St. Benedict's Church where he served as a lector, Eucharistic Minister and often volunteered for various events they held. He enjoyed reading, going to the movies, bowling, golfing, attending sporting events, spending time with family and friends and was a big fan of the St Louis Cardinals. Those who knew him will remember his big smile, infectious laugh and his fondness for telling jokes. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Charlotte Dilley of Hollister, his children, Jacqueline Dilley of Hollister, Ernest Dilley of San Jose, his Goddaughter Patty Trout of Tucson, his 4 adopted grandchildren Alecia Martinez of San Jose, Siena Martinez of San Jose, Pablo Reyes of Hollister, Bella Alanis of Hollister and the many wonderful caregivers he had over the years that gave him excellent care and support that became part of the family. He is preceded in death by his father, Dwight Dilley, mother, Ann Dilley and son, Kenneth Jack Dilley. 

The Rosary will be on Friday, March 23, at 7:00 p.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Mass will be on Saturday, March 24, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Church.

Cremation will follow with internment at St. Benedict's Columbarium.

Friends can pay their respects on Friday, March 23, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Jovenes de Antano of Hollister, Bridge Hospice of Fremont or St Judes Hospital.
