Richard Ernest Killer passed away Friday December 16 at home with family. Born in Connecticut he attended the Coast Guard Academy for one year and joined USAF where he trained to be a pilot. He flew B47’s and super sonic B58’s. He was based at Little Rock AFB where he met Carol, his wife of 51 years. He left the Air Force and went to work for Pan American Airlines as a flight engineer. When Pan Am went out of business he went to work for United Airlines and was a check engineer for both airlines. He and Carol left San Carlos, their home for 27 years and moved to Hollister for golf and retirement in 1993. He enjoyed family, friends, golf and sailing.
His wife Carol, son David and his children Carson and Kate, daughter Janet and her husband Fritz Arnold and their twins Cameron and Delaney, survive him.
