Student artists invited to submit artwork to upcoming County Art Showcase

The San Benito County Office of Education & San Benito County Arts Council are accepting submissions for Feb. 16 showcase at Vets' Hall

The San Benito County Office of Education and the San Benito County Arts Council are currently accepting artwork submissions from local students, grades Pre-K to 12th, in all media for a countywide art showcase on Thursday, Feb. 16. 

Students are encouraged to enter paintings, drawings, sculpture, mixed-media and literary art pieces. Entry forms are available at the County Office of Education and Arts Council’s websites or offices or may be picked up at local school sites. Entries must be submitted the County Office of Education at 460 Fifth St. no later than Feb. 15.

More about the County Art Showcase

Students, families and community members are invited to attend this free event “The World in Me: Self-Portraits, Nature & Stories” from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16 at the Veterans Memorial Building in downtown Hollister. 

The showcase will include an exhibition of visual and literary art, as well as a performing arts showcase of local dance, theater, music and improve groups, including Folklorico Juvenil, the Animation Dance Community, Allison Barns Irish Dancing, the San Benito Dance Academy, ComedySportz Improv and more. Light refreshments will be served.
