DESCRIPTION:What: Pajaro Compass Network Spring Stakeholder Meeting & Tour \nTheme: One Watershed\, Many Perspectives: Partnerships in the Pajaro \nWhen: Wednesday\, April 24th \n8:30 am – 12:45 pm Stakeholder Meeting (coffee\, pastries\, and lunch provided) \n1:00 pm – 2 pm Tour of City of Watsonville Wastewater Plant \nWhere: City of Watsonville Community Room\, 275 Main Street\, Fourth Floor\, Watsonville\, CA 95076 \nRSVP: Please follow the link HERE to RSVP by April 17th \nThe Pajaro Compass Spring Stakeholder Meeting will focus on watershed resource and restoration partnerships for water quality\, flood control\, and habitat. There will be a great panel of speakers representing projects in both the upper and lower watershed. As usual\, there will be a project pitch session\, stakeholder resource table\, and training sessions on Pajaro Compass Web Tools. Following a networking lunch (lunch provided)\, the Pajaro Valley Water Management Agency will lead a tour of the Watsonville Wastewater Plant. \nThe Pajaro Compass is a voluntary network of landowners and managers\, public agencies\, conservation organizations\, funders\, and elected officials with a common interest in maintaining a healthy and productive Pajaro River watershed. The Pajaro River watershed is an area of approximately 1\,300 square miles\, and includes portions of three mountain ranges (Santa Cruz\, Gabilan and Diablo) and four counties (Santa Clara\, Santa Cruz\, San Benito and Monterey). It includes productive farms and ranches\, rich natural areas\, and culturally significant places. The Pajaro Compass provides a gateway for participants to learn\, connect\, and engage in conservation efforts throughout the watershed that promote healthy soils\, clean water\, productive landscapes\, and habitat for native wildlife. \nTwice a year\, the Pajaro Compass Network convenes a meeting to discuss topics of interest to the network community.
